aXave is a combined solution of hardware and software, based on the proven BOS Backup prOxy Server technology, installed as a backup and restoring solution on different organizations and companies since 1997
aXave is installed on any kind of computer system with any version of Windows operating system, and backs up the data on the computer itself and/or on other networked workstations or servers, without limitations, every number of hours or minutes as defined, to a detachable hard drive or Flash Memory drive - all this at work time and without any disturbance or extra workload.
aXave backs up the data in the most speedy and efficient way to restore, when compared to existing backup solutions. This applies to regular document restoration and to historical document's versions, to entire directories and subdirectories, and to all corporate data in cases of Total Disasters.
aXave devices are handy, of high quality, and elegant (a thin 2.5" external disk drive or a thumb stick flash memory drive) built for easy detachment from the computer to which they are connected through a standard USB connection.
At the end of the workday or session the user can easily disconnect the backup device, pocket it home or place it in a safe. All the important data will be protected and restore ready in the aXave detachable drive.
aXave can be purchased in a variety of capacities, to match the backup needs of every kind and size of user or enterprise. It is possible to buy aXave as software only, to use on an existing or other supplier's drive (hardware).
How does it actually work?
aXave software has to be installed on the computer system wished to be backed up. The installation is simple and matches all versions of Windows operation system. The installation does not require special preparations, except a healthy and updated system.
The aXave detachable device must be connected to the computer through the standard USB connection, commonly found at the computer's back side.
Now, all what is required is defining within the aXave software which one (D, E, F, etc.) will be the software's drive, and also set what (files and folders) and when to backup. For the unsophisticated user aXave contains backup, schedule and restore wizards, which guide him/her through a short series of simple steps up to completion
It is possible to backup one single computer only - Desktop or Laptop.
It is also possible to easily add additional computers and servers connected through the network, and set their backup definitions, without restrictions - except for the backup target drive capacity.
aXave will backup every number of minutes or hours, according to your settings, without any disturbance or work overload for the computer on which it was installed
Restoring a file or folder from aXave is the easiest task. As mentioned, there is also a Wizard for it, to guide new users in the performance of correct and speedy restoring jobs.
It will be possible to easily and quickly restore data from every aXave defined backup target device, without the need of installing BOS in any case of Total Disaster.
aXave is based on BOS winning technology, and is independent from any factors at critical restoring time. By just connecting the detachable drive to any suitable working computer, all the pre restored files and folders will be displayed, enabling immediate and safe recovery.
