Remote Synchronization
This unique service allows the protection of all data backed up on a certain BOS server, by immediate or scheduled duplication of it to another distant server.

This service uses a single Port through which all the newly updated data is transferred to the storage folders of BOS in an alternative server.

One of the most popular uses of this service is for centralization of all the backups performed by different corporate BOS servers to a single corporate backup server, to prevent data loss in the case of failure of any local backup server. Thus, in any case of error or damage of the local backup server, the data it holds will also be present and available on a distant central backup server.

Another practical use of this service is the secured transfer of data between two communications networks, each of which has different security categorization, and the centralization of all the corporate backup on a single backup server.

This service can spare the need of crossed up backup between sites. The backup process includes all files' scanning at a distant site - in order to locate added, deleted, or modified files. Naturally, this process requires less network resources, even when there were no changes at all.
By using the Remote Synchronization service, only the changes actually performed on the backup server will be transferred to the distant server.
