File Server Recovery

The corporate BOS system permanently protects the corporate file server at all times of the daily and nightly cycle. The system keeps versions of changing or deleted files, and allows the immediate restoring of any document and its different versions.

The software's definitions allow to backup at different schedules every folder and even every file. It is possible to define separate user accounts in order to access different servers on the network.

Through the BOS WEB Interface every user can locate and recover every single file from any workstation without the system manager's intervention.

It is possible (and recommended) to install on this system antivirus software from a vendor different of the one providing the main corporate antivirus software. The purpose is to cross check the files and prevent their infection with malignant code the main corporate antivirus software could have been unable to recognize.

The corporate BOS system can entirely replace the File server when unavailable.

Although BOS system is generally installed on an inferior computer system and on hardware of lower performance when compared to the file server, this system can temporarily replace the file server until this is back to full work capability, and can thus provide a suitable DRP solution at minimal costs.

Given BOS keeps all the data in its original format, it is possible to map the users to the BOS server and allow them service continuity within a few minutes.

From the instant the corporate file server is back to full work capability and all the files on it have been updated to their current versions, the BOS system can be brought back to its continuous backup functionality.

Trough the use of the Disk Extender format, it is possible to keep complete file updating on a duplicated disk (duplication of the corporate file server disk). Thus, when the main system's disk crashes all we need to do is take the duplicated disk from the BOS system and install it on the file server.

This recovery method is the fastest, and its cost the lowest.
